The Tide

Along the coasts of every ocean on Earth, the water level changes regularly. This movement is called the tide. The highest point the water reaches is known as high tide. The lowest point the water drops to is called low tide. Tides occur in all bodies of water. In some places, the change is so small that tides go unnoticed. Tides are more noticeable where the ocean meets land, such as along seacoasts and in bays. Usually, there are two high tides and two low tides every day at a specific location. The times these tides happen change day by day. On average, the time between two high tides is 12 hours and 25 minutes. Tides are caused by a natural force called gravity. Gravity makes all bodies in the universe pull on each other. Both the Sun and the Moon pull on Earth, but the Moon has a stronger effect because it is closer to Earth than the Sun. As the Moon pulls on Earth, it causes the water to move. On the side of Earth closest to the Moon, water builds up in a wave. Another wave forms on the opposite side of Earth because the Moon pulls Earth away from the water there. These waves create high tide. As Earth turns and the Moon orbits Earth, the tides change too. Since the Moon follows a regular path around Earth, the cycle of the tides also follows a regular pattern.

2026 Winter sport

last Friday we did our school. Winter sports touch rugby against te pae we lost I cant rember the score but we got zero they smashed us after I ate a little bit of food then we had our next game I’m pretty sure we lost by one point at the end when we got back it was raining so we didn’t do the prize giving and went back to our class and then we started to make this that’s all we did on Friday

Why you should live on a space ship instead of a submarine

I think that a space ship is better because there are food supplies and sometimes farms that you can get crops from to eat. And on submarines there are normally no farms and not much food supplies and then you will starve and die. Also on space ships you can see way more than on submarines on submarines you can see fish and stuff but most of them we have already discovered. On a space ship you can find way more stuff like new stars planets and find new minerals and on a submarine you will find old stuff and less new stuff.

Cross Country Run!

At the start we went out to the astro turf for the cross country we lined up in our line as the year 4 and year 5 have their race we talk to are friends in other classes as we wait or our turn. When Mr Redmand calls us up we go to the finish line and get ready when Mr Redmand says we can go I start jogging with my friends when we get to the bike track we start passing people that have already started their race we see Lukah in the lead of the race.

when we get to the end of the bike track their is some people that are taking photos for the school then we see are friend who is being our support we dab him up and keep on running.  we can see the end of our first lap and we keep on running when we get to the bike track we pass some more people that are running and see the end when we start getting close to the end we start saving  our energy for the end to sprint. When we see our friend again we are nearly there we can see the last corner we get around the corner and we see the end and I’m like lets go I get ready to sprint and then I start to sprint and get to the end.

yr 6 school camp living springs reflection

Looking back on camp, the thing that sticks out the most is mountain boarding it was my favorite activity.

At first, I felt happy because I was at the school camp.

But then, we had to walk up a hill and it was not fun

I surprised myself by going on the hardest level on mountain boarding

Camp wasn’t all about challenges, though. One of the funniest moments was when Easton pulled out the shrek hoodie

Overall, camp helped me learn that living sprigs camp is a good camp

I’m really glad I had the chance to do the monorail and make new memories with my classmates.

If there’s ever another chance to go to camp, I’d say im going strait to camp
